Should You Take Acetaminophen (Tylenol; also called Paracetamol) for Covid-19? This meta analysis of 13 studies says “No!”
Risk of death from Covid-19 was increased 31% for patients using Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for Covid-19. Risk of hospitalization was increased by 45%. And every other metric used to evaluate whether to take Tylenol for Covid-19 showed it is bad for the patient in every way.
In a different meta analysis, Aspirin was okay to take when you have Covid-19. Results of 52 studies showed a benefit with taking aspirin, especially if taken early in the course of the disease.
Use of Ibuprofen (Advil) showed an increase in risk with Covid-19, though not as severe as with Acetaminophen (Tylenol; Paracetamol).
I could not find sufficient information on use of Aleve (Naproxen) for Covid-19.
